grief card 54
---art and prompt by Felicita Maynard, Revitalizing Water Ritual
and then the water broke,
and you fell into the lake
so I drank the lake to save you,
but you'd turned into a fish
so I wept back the lake to revive you,
but my tears blurred and hid you
so I dried my eyes to see you,
but the lake was a silent sheet of sky
so I grew wings to find you,
but the bird hungered for blood
so I retrieved my hands to hold you,
but the lake held its secret
so I held my breath to behold you,
but in the lowest pit, the darkest depth,
I could not see you,
Tian Tian,
so I waited and lived you.
